Description
The 1756-L72 is a programmable automation controller.
Configuration and expansion: The 1756-L72 controller has an open chassis type that allows users to add additional modules and expansion cards as needed to meet specific application needs.
Memory configuration: The 1756-L72 controller has 4 MB of user memory for storing programs and data, and 0.98 MB of I/O memory. This gives it the ability to process large amounts of data and information to meet complex industrial automation needs.
Storage options: The controller comes with a 1 GB SD card (1784-SD1) that users can use as non-volatile memory. If you run out of storage space, you can also upgrade it to 2 GB with the 1784-SD2 card. It is recommended to only use SD cards sold by Rockwell Automation, as these cards have been fully tested and are compatible with the controller, and using other SD cards may result in data loss or corruption.
Diagnostic function: The SD card is used to store diagnostic data that is automatically written when a fault occurs. Rockwell Automation uses this data for troubleshooting, helping users locate and resolve problems quickly.
Communication capabilities: The 1756-L72 supports multiple communication protocols such as DeviceNet, ControlNet, and EtherNet/IP, which enables it to communicate and integrate with other industrial automation devices and systems.
Physical characteristics: The controller also has three capacitive energy storage modules, which provide power in the event of a power failure, ensuring the normal operation of the controller and the security of the data.
