The 1762 L24BWA is an Allen-Bradley Programmable logic controller (PLC). It is part of the Allen-Bradley 1762 series PLC. The controller module has fourteen (14) digital inputs and is designed for 24 volts DC and ten (10) relay outputs. The power supply voltage of this controller is 24VDC.
The 1762-L24BWA is compact and has minimal mounting space, making it ideal for installation in tight enclosures. The dimensions of the module are 3.5 inches high, 4.33 inches wide and 3.43 inches long. The controller module weighs 2 pounds.
The 1762-L24BWA driver uses a relay output circuit with a mechanical relay life of 20,000,000 cycles. The heat dissipation rate of the drive is 15.6 watts. The controller module can only operate at an ambient operating temperature of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. The 1762-L24BWA controller can be mounted using the DIN rail as the mounting base, or the panel can be mounted directly through the provided slots.
The controller integrates RS232 communication ports and supports DH485, DF1, Modbus master-slave and ASCII protocols. The 1762-24BWA is a MicroLogix 1200 programmable logic controller (PLC) manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The controller is a compact controller type where the power supply, integrated input and output channels, communication ports and memory modules are installed in a common compact housing. This compact controller is ideal for use in small applications and has the ability to extend features to enhance the controller’s native functionality.
The controller’s integrated power supply operates at 24VDC. The temperature provides the appropriate voltage, and the controller is energized, including other circuits. The controller’s integrated communication port is an 8-pin mini DIN RS232 port that supports multiple protocols such as DH-485, DF1 full duplex, DF1 half duplex, DF1 radio modem, Modbus master-slave, and ASCII. DH485 is designed for peer-to-peer or network architectures, DF1 is dedicated to peer-to-peer transactions, Modbus supports network architectures, and ASCII protocols are ideal for direct communication with smart devices.
It can also be used to communicate with computer-based interfaces such as Human machine interface (HMI) or supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Since Rs232 communication is limited to standalone or point-to-point connections, this port can be multiplexed using an external interface converter such as the 1761-NET-AIC.
